PHIL 254 - Professional Ethics Description Study of theoretical and applied ethical standards. Exposure to methods of resolving ethical conflicts from traditional philosophical approaches like utilitarianism, deontology, and virtue ethics as well as more recent approaches emphasizing their specific roles and professional duties like care ethics and the expectations of their professional societies. Also provides exposure to content areas detailing specific current ethical challenges in organizational ethics, environmental ethics, communication ethics, and professionalism.
