EDUC 506 - Mentor Teacher Training II for Secondary ELA

Description
With a focus on secondary ELA content knowledge and pedagogy, this course is designed to improve understanding of high-quality instruction of prioritized academic content while supporting mentee instruction of that content. Candidates are required to submit all assessments through BloomBoard by the end of the semester and participate in at least 90% of the activities within the course.

Candidates will earn a certificate of participation to submit to the Louisiana Department of Education for a Mentor Teacher Ancillary Certificate after earning a grade of C or better in EDUC 504 and EDUC 506; participating in at least 90% of the activities within EDUC 504 and EDUC 506; passing all of the distinction assessments within BloomBoard; and having scored at the Effective: Proficient or Highly Effective level in at least three of the last five years of teaching.

Note(s)
For curriculum and instruction and educational technology leadership majors only. No duplicate credit for EDUC 506 and EDUC 513.
