MCOM 333 - Social Media and Emerging Communication Technology


Description
Examines the impact social media is having on our society, with specific interest in the implications and applications of social media communication for strategic media professionals. Many factors affect integrated communication approaches in the 21st century, including changing technologies, globalization, deregulation, and customer empowerment. In this course, students learn about the latest technologies driving audience engagement and current practices in management and marketing of new media outlets. Special emphasis on the World Wide Web and social media.
