Health and Human Performance, Nutrition and Wellness Concentration, MS


Total Hours Required for Degree:  39

Prerequisites


In addition to the general requirements for admission to Graduate School, applicants for admission to the Master of Science in Health and Human Performance program must meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum score of 280 on the GRE (Verbal + Quantitative).
  • A minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.5.
  • An undergraduate major in nutrition or related field of study.
  • Three hours each of exercise physiology and tests and measures.
  • Selected for the dietetic internship at McNeese or completed the dietetic internship.

General Notes


  • At least one-half of the total number of credit hours required for a graduate degree, excluding credit for thesis, must be at the 600 level.
  • Credits applied must be earned within 6 calendar years from the time the student first enrolled in the program.
  • No grade below C and not more than 6 credit hours of C work can be applied toward the degree.
  • Only transfer credits with a grade of B or better may be applied toward the degree.
