PHYS 401 - Principles of Electricity and Magnetism I (Lec. 3, Cr. 3) Vector treatment of the fundamentals of electricity and magnetism. Topics include: Vector analysis; Gauss’ law; electric field intensity; energy and potential; conductors, dielectrics, and capacitance; Poisson’s and Laplace’s equations; magnetostatics.
