EDUC 507 - Mentor Teacher Training II for Secondary Mathematics

Description
With a focus on secondary mathematics content knowledge and pedagogy, this course is designed to improve understanding of high-quality instruction of prioritized academic content while supporting mentee instruction of that content. Candidates are required to submit all assessments through BloomBoard by the end of the semester.

Candidates will earn a certificate of participation to submit to the Louisiana Department of Education for a Mentor Teacher ancillary certificate after earning a grade of C or better in EDUC 504 and EDUC 507; participating in at least 90% of the activities within EDUC 504 and EDUC 507; passing all of the distinction assessments within BloomBoard; and having scored at the Effective Proficient or Highly Proficient level in at least three of the last five years of teaching.

For curriculum and instruction and educational technology leadership majors only. No duplicate credit for EDUC 507 and EDUC 655.
