EDUC 505 - Mentor Teacher Training II for Elementary Education


Description
With a focus on elementary content knowledge and pedagogy, this course is designed to improve understanding of high-quality Tier 1 instruction of prioritized academic content while supporting mentee instruction of that content. Candidates are required to submit all assessments through BloomBoard by the end of the semester and participate in at least 90% of the activities within the course.

Candidates will earn a certificate of participation to submit to the Louisiana Department of Education for a Mentor Teacher Ancillary Certificate after earning a grade of C or better in EDUC 504 and EDUC 505; participating in at least 90% of the activities within EDUC 504 and EDUC 505; passing all the distinction assessments within BloomBoard; and having scored at the Effective: Proficient or Highly Effective level in at least three of the last five years of teaching.

For curriculum and instruction and educational technology leadership majors only. No duplicate credit for EDUC 505 and EDUC 512 or EDUC 655.
