EDUC 514 - Professional Development for Mentor Teacher Training II for Secondary Mathematics


Description
With a focus on secondary mathematics content knowledge and pedagogy, this course is designed to improve understanding of high-quality instruction of prioritized academic content while supporting mentee instruction of that content. Participants are required to submit all assessments through BloomBoard by the end of the semester and participate in at least 90% of the activities within the course.

Participants will earn a certificate of participation to submit to the Louisiana Department of Education for a Mentor Teacher Ancillary Certificate after earning a grade of S in EDUC 511 and EDUC 514; participating in at least 90% of the activities within EDUC 511 and EDUC 514; passing all of the distinction assessments within BloomBoard; and having scored at the Effective:Proficient or Highly Effective level in at least three of the last five years of teaching.

Note(s)
For non-degree students enrolling only to earn credentials for the Mentor Teacher Ancillary awarded by the Louisiana Department of Education. No duplicate credit for EDUC 514 and EDUC 507 or EDUC 655.
