HHP 455 - Behavioral Impairment and Physical Education

Description
Analysis of behavioral and mental health conditions in adapted physical education and sport environments. Instructional methods and interventional strategies will be explored int eh psychomotor, affective, and cognitive domains. Emphasis will be placed on perceptual motor deficits, protocol and assessment, transition plan, laws, and historical perspective, technology, and behavior management. Ten hours of field experience in an approved adapted physical education setting.

No duplicate credit for HHP 455 and HHP 555 or HPED 455.

Prerequisite(s): (EDUC 200 or EDUC 499) and HHP 454.
