General Studies-Applied and Natural Sciences Concentration

Total Hours Required for Degree:  60

Students who wish to pursue the Associate of General Studies in Applied and Natural Sciences must earn a GPA of 2.0 or better in all courses counted toward the degree as well as in all courses applied to the concentration.

Concentration - 18 hours


Choose 18 hours from the Applied and Natural Sciences Block: Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Engineering, Agriculture, Agronomy, Animal Science, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Studies, Computer Science, Electronics, Environmental Science, Forestry, Geology, Health Systems Management, Instrumentation, Mathematics, Medical Laboratory Science, Natural Resource Conservation Management, Nursing, Nursing Associate Degree, Nutrition and Food Science, Physical Science, Physics, Process Plant Technology, Radiologic Sciences, Statistics, Technology, Wildlife Management

Note


No more than 4 credit hours of HHP Activity  courses and no more than 4 credit hours of Music Ensemble  courses will be applied toward the degree.

General Notes


  • All Baccalaureate degrees must include 40 hours at the 300/400 level.
  • All Baccalaureate degrees require at least one course from the life sciences and one course from the physical sciences categories in Area C of the General Education Core Curriculum.
  • All Baccalaureate degrees must include 12 hours of Writing Enriched courses in the General Education Core Curriculum and 6 hours in the major.
  • All Associate degrees must include 6 hours of Writing Enriched courses in the General Education Core Curriculum and 3 hours in the major.
