General Studies-Behavioral Sciences Concentration

Total Hours Required for Degree:  60

Students who wish to pursue the Associate of General Studies in Behavioral Sciences must earn a GPA of 2.0 or better in all courses counted toward the degree as well as in all courses applied to the concentration.

Concentration - 18 hours


Choose 18 hours from the Behavioral Sciences Block: Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Economics, Economics Education, Education, Educational Technology, Family and Child Studies, Geography, Health and Human Performance, Office Systems and Business Communication, Paralegal Studies, Political Science, Psychology, Social Sciences, Sociology, Special Education

Note


No more than 4 credit hours of HHP Activity  courses and no more than 4 credit hours of Music Ensemble  courses will be applied toward the degree.

General Notes


  • All Baccalaureate degrees must include 40 hours at the 300/400 level.
  • All Baccalaureate degrees require at least one course from the life sciences and one course from the physical sciences categories in Area C of the General Education Core Curriculum.
  • All Baccalaureate degrees must include 12 hours of Writing Enriched courses in the General Education Core Curriculum and 6 hours in the major.
  • All Associate degrees must include 6 hours of Writing Enriched courses in the General Education Core Curriculum and 3 hours in the major.
