Prerequisites


  • Admission to the William J. Dore’, Sr. School of Graduate Studies
  • Minimum of 18 credit hours at the 300+ level in education, behavioral studies (criminal justice, psychology, sociology, etc.), or another discipline as approved by the department head.
  • Minimum Graduate Record Examination (GRE) formula score of:
    • 1100 if the GRE was taken prior to September 1, 2011, (score scale of 200-800) using the following formula:  Undergraduate GPA × 150 + GRE (Verbal + Qualitative) ≥ 1100.
    • 750 if the GRE was taken after September 1, 2011, (score scale of 130-170) using the following formula:  Undergraduate GPA × 150 + GRE (Verbal + Qualitative) ≥ 750.

Requirements


General Notes


  • Credits applied must be earned within 6 calendar years from the time the student first enrolled in the program.
  • No grade below C and not more than 6 credit hours of C work can be applied toward the degree.
  • Only transfer credits with a grade of B or better may be applied toward the degree.
