Prerequisites
- Admission to the William J. Dore', Sr. School of Graduate Studies
- Evidence of a valid teaching certificate
- Minimum Graduate Record Examination (GRE) score of:
- 800 (Verbal + Qualitative) if the GRE was taken prior to September 1, 2011, using the 200-800 score scale.
- 290 (Verbal + Qualitative) if the GRE was taken after September 1, 2011, using the 130-170 score scale.

- Approved EDLD, EDTC, EDUC, PSYC, or SPED Elective (500/600 Level) - 3 hours

- EDUC 606 - Foundations of Advanced Teaching (Lec. 3, Cr. 3)
- EDUC 655 - Supervision of Student Teachers (Lec. 3, Cr. 3)
- EDUC 670 - Research II: Applied Educational Research (Lec. 3, Cr. 3)
- EDUC 686 - Characteristics of Gifted Individuals (Lec. 3, Cr. 3)
- EDUC 687 - Social and Emotional Needs of the Gifted (Lec. 3, Cr. 3)
- EDUC 688 - Methods for Teaching the Academically Gifted (Lec. 3, Cr. 3)
- EDUC 689 - Creative Thinking and Problem Solving (Lec. 3, Cr. 3)

General Notes
- Credits applied must be earned within 6 calendar years from the time the student first enrolled in the program.
- No grade below C and not more than 6 credit hours of C work can be applied toward the degree.
- Only transfer credits with a grade of B or better may be applied toward the degree.
