Please review the Admission to the Master of Science in Nursing Degree Program requirements located under the Graduate Studies section of the College of Nursing catalog page.
To earn the Master of Science in Nursing with a role and population focus or a specialization, the student must:
- Complete all degree requirements including:
- A minimum of 40-43 credit hours for the Nurse Practictioner role and population focus of family (FNP).
- A minimum of 43-46 credit hours for the Nurse Practictioner role and population focus of family psychiatric/mental health (FPMHNP).
- A minimum of 37 credit hours for the Nurse Educator role.
- A minimum of 35-38 credit hours for the Nurse Executive role.
- Complete a Focused Scholarly Project or a Thesis, and
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA at all times.
