Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner Concentration, MSN


Total Hours Required for Degree: 42 (Focused Scholarly Project Option) or 45 (Thesis Option)

The Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner Concentration, MSN program is only offered 100% online.

To earn the Master of Science in Nursing with a role and population focus or a specialization, the student must complete all degree requirements including:

  • A minimum of 42 credit hours for the Nurse Practictioner role and population focus of family (FNP);
  • Complete a focused scholarly project or a thesis; and
  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA at all times.

General Notes


  • Credits applied must be earned within 6 calendar years from the time the student first enrolled in the program.
  • Only transfer credits with a grade of B or better may be applied toward the degree.
  • Students must earn a grade of B or better in all courses applied to the degree.
