The degree of Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) is awarded upon successful completion of a course of study in the engineering common core and one of the concentrations described below. The four concentrations in the BSE program are Chemical Engineering (ChE), Civil Engineering (CE), Electrical Engineering (EE), and Mechanical Engineering (ME). Environmental systems electives are available to students with a concentration in Civil Engineering. Computer systems, power systems, and control systems electives are available to students with a concentration in Electrical Engineering.
The program of study for all students enrolled in the BSE curriculum consists of two parts: (1) a common core and (2) a sequence of courses in one of the four concentrations offered by the Department of Engineering. The 74 hours of courses in the common core are listed below; followed by the additional courses required in the respective concentrations.
