CIEN 427 - Timber Design (Lec. 3, Cr. 3)

Description
Study of basic wood properties and design considerations. Design and behavior of wood connectors, beams, columns, and beam columns.  Introduction to plywood and glued laminated members as well as analysis and design of structural diaphragms and shear walls.

Notes
No duplicate credit for CIEN 427 and CIEN 527.

Prerequisites / Corequisites
Prerequisite(s): CIEN 416, CIEN 417, or permission of department head.
