SPED 320 - Survey of Contemporary Topics and Issues in Special Education

Description
This course provides an introduction to foundations and professional practice in special education that encompasses terminology, identification, and issues commonly encountered when addressing the needs of students with disabilities. Emphasis will be placed on diversity issues, federal and state mandates regarding nondiscriminatory assessments, parental involvement and individualized education plans.
