EDUC 200 - Entrance into Teacher Education

Description
Candidates declaring a major or concentration in a baccalaureate teacher education program must register for EDUC 200. The portal course includes mandatory attendance at a workshop designed to assist candidates in completing the EDUC 200 packet required for official admission into a baccalaureate education program, including official required ACT/SAT/Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators scores, a 2.50 minimum cumulative GPA, and course requirements. Candidates must submit the EDUC 200 packet prior to the end of the semester to receive a grade of Satisfactory (S) for the course. If all components of the packet are not met and/or the packet is not submitted by the indicated due date for the semester, then a grade of Unsatisfactory (U) will be assigned. A grade of S in this portal course is required in order to enroll in any 300 or 400 level education, educational technology, or special education courses.

Note(s)
Candidates are required to complete all components of the packet by the due date indicated in the course calendar. No incomplete grades will be assigned for this course.

Refer to the Teacher Education Preparation Portals page of the Academic Catalog for additional portal requirements.
