EDUC 508 - Mentor Teacher Training II for Universal

Description
With a focus on universal content knowledge and pedagogy, this course is designed to improve understanding of high-quality instruction of prioritized academic content while supporting mentee instruction of that content. Candidates are required to submit all assessments through BloomBoard by the end of the semester and participate in at least 90% of the activities within the course.

Candidates will earn a certificate of participation to submit to the Louisiana Department of Education for a Mentor Teacher Ancillary Certificate after earning a grade of C or better in EDUC 504 and EDUC 508; participating in at least 90% of the activities within EDUC 504 and EDUC 508; passing all of the distinction assessments within BloomBoard; and having scored at the Effective: Proficient or Highly Effective level in at least three of the last five years of teaching.

Note(s)
For curriculum and instruction and educational technology leadership majors only. No duplicate credit for EDUC 508 and EDUC 515.
