EDUC 223 - Mathematics for Elementary School Teachers

Description
Properties of real numbers, consumer mathematics, number systems, number theory, algebra concepts, geometry, measurement, probability, and statistics. Designed for elementary education majors, this course covers Common Core and/or Louisiana Student Standards present in elementary-level mathematics content. Content will support ECHD and ELEM education majors with passage of Praxis content exam.

No duplicate credit for EDUC 223 and MATH 122 or MATH 222.

Prerequisite(s): MATH 105, MATH 113, MATH 170, minimum ACT Mathematics score of 25, minimum SAT Math Section score of 590, or permission of department head.
