1Must include both biological and physical sciences of which 6 hours must be in a two-semester sequence, to be selected from among the following: Biological Sciences-BIOL 101-102, BIOL 105-106, ENSC 101-102; Physical Sciences- CHEM 101, CHEM 121, CHEM 135-136, GEOL 101-102, PHSC 101-102, PHSC 101-111, ENSC 101-102.
2Secondary Teaching Area courses: English (all 3 hours each): ENGL 201, 221, 301, 351, 361. Mathematics (all 3 hours each): MATH 170, 175, 190; 231 or 292 or 307; 291, 322, 406. Chemistry: CHEM 101 (4 hours), 102 (4 hours), 203 (3 hours), 203L (2 hours), 211 (4 hours), 275 (3 hours), 451 (1 hour). Biology: BIOL 101 (3 hours), 101L (1 hour), 102 (3 hours), 102L (1 hour), 315 (4 hours), 339 (3 hours), 410 (4 hours), 404 (2 hours). Social Studies: HIST 121, 122, 202; GEOL 111; GOVT 201.
3HIST 201 if Social Studies is the Secondary Teaching Area; otherwise, select from HIST 201 or 202.
4Six (6) hours must be selected from the approved Writing Enriched courses- see General Education Requirements  section.
5Three (3) hours must be selected from the approved International Education courses- see General Education Requirements  section.
