ART 414 - Directed Observations and Field Experiences in Art


Description
Classroom experiences through directed observation, participation in schools with a focus on managing the ecology of the classroom, teacher belief systems, student perceptions socio-cultural and motivational issues: cognitive models for classroom management emphasized. Required studio art experiences using tools and materials appropriate for use in a K-12 school setting.

Prerequisite(s): ART 200, EDUC 200, completion of all methods courses (with a grade of C or better), passing scores on the Praxis content-specific exam and Praxis: Principles of Learning and Teaching exam, and permission of department head or Director of Student Teaching and Professional Education Services (ST/PES).
