MATH 591 - History of Mathematics Description This course covers topics in the development of mathematics from ancient Sumeria (development of counting and arithmetic) to 1993 (proof of the Fermat-Wiles theorem). Directed reading and/or a research project is required.
Note(s) No duplicate credit for MATH 591 and MATH 461.
