An introduction to topics in contemporary mathematics. Topics may include problem solving, sets, logic, finance, geometry, and probability and statistics, as well as real life applications.

Prerequisite(s): Minimum ACT Mathematics score of 19;  ACT Mathematics score of less than 19 with a corequisite of MATH 104; minimum ACCUPLACER Next-Generation Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, and Statistics (QAS) score of 250; ACCUPLACER Next-Generation QAS score of less than 250 with a corequisite of MATH 104; minimum ALEKS Placement, Preparation and Learning (ALEKS PPL) score of 35; ALEKS PPL score of less than 35 with a corequisite of MATH 104; minimum SAT Math Section score of 510; SAT Math Section score of less than 510 with a corequisite of MATH 104; or MATH 113.
