Advanced Practice Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, PMHNP to DNP, DNP


Total Hours Required for Degree: 54

The Advanced Practice Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, DNP program accepts new students only in the fall semester and is a hybrid program with 50-99% of coursework offered online.

To earn the Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, the student must complete all degree requirements including:

  • A miminum of 20 hours of Advanced Practice Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing competencies;
  • A minimum of 34 hours of Doctor of Nursing Practice essentials;
  • Completion of the Doctor of Nursing Practice clinical project; and
  • Maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 at all times.

  • Credits applied must be earned within 6 calendar years from the time the student first enrolled in the program.
  • Only transfer credits with a grade of B or better may be applied toward the degree.
  • Students must earn a grade of B or better in all courses applied to the degree.
