Analysis of ecological factors influencing the natural fluctuation and regulation of animal population numbers. Examines models of single and multi-species population dynamics, with emphasis on understanding the relationship between ecological processes operating at the individual level and subsequent dynamics at the population level. Significant emphasis is placed on principles as applied to conservation and management. Computer and field-based exercises will be used to reinforce concepts presented in lecture. Graduate students will be expected to do an extra lab report based on data obtained from the appropriate literature.  Additional report required.
