ART 414 - Directed Observations and Field Experiences in Art

Classroom experiences through directed observation, participation in schools with a focus on managing the ecology of the classroom, teacher belief systems, student perceptions socio-cultural and motivational issues: cognitive models for classroom management emphasized. Required studio art experiences using tools and materials appropriate for use in a K-12 school setting.

Prerequisites: ART 200, EDUC 200, passing scores on the PRAXIS PLT and the Art Content Knowledge exams, permission from department heads of Teacher Education and Visual Arts. No duplicate credit for ART 414 and ARED 414.
