General Requirements for Minor in Music

• MUSC 101 - Music Theory I (Lec. 2, Lab. 1, Cr. 2)
• MUSC 101L - Ear Training/Sight Singing I (Lab. 2, Cr. 1)
• MUSC 102 - Music Theory II (Lec. 2, Lab. 1, Cr. 2)
• MUSC 102L - Ear Training/Sight Singing II (Lab. 2, Cr. 1)
• MUSC 261 - Introduction to Music History and Literature (Lec. 1, Lab. 1, Cr. 1)

• 
  Choose one of the following:

• MUSC 362 - Music History and Literature I: Antiquity through Pre-Classic Period (Lec. 3, Cr. 3)
• MUSC 363 - Music History and Literature II: Classic Period through Present (Lec. 3, Cr. 3)

Additional Requirements for Minor in Music

• PIAN 115 - Class Piano (Lab. 2, Cr. 1)
• PIAN 116 - Class Piano (Lab. 2, Cr. 1)

• 
  Students must earn two credit hours in each of the following:

• CLAR 101 - Clarinet (Lab. 1-3, Cr. 1-3)
• CLAR 102 - Clarinet (Lab. 1-3, Cr. 1-3)
• CLAR 201 - Clarinet (Lab. 1-3, Cr. 1-3)
• CLAR 202 - Clarinet (Lab. 1-3, Cr. 1-3)

• 
  Students must enroll in MUSC 380, 390, or 487 as deemed appropriate by the director of bands for four terms.  Only one credit of 380, 390, or 487 may be applied to requirements for the minor each semester.
   

• MUSC 380 - Symphonic Band (Cr. 1-2)
• MUSC 390 - Marching Band (Cr. 1-2)
• MUSC 487 - Wind Symphony (Cr. 1-2)

Note

Students must earn a grade of C or better in all courses applied to the minor.
