Name of Fee Purpose
Tuition Used to support general operating expenditures
Academic Enhancement Statutory Authority: RS 17:3351(A)(5)(d) - used for the enhancement of any instructional programs and may not be used to pay the salary of any university or university system administrator
Academic Excellence Statutory Authority: RS 17:3351.9 - used to promote academic excellence by enhancing instructional programs
Building Use University of Louisiana System Board Rules, Part Two, Chapter IV, Section V (H) - used to construct and/or renovate academic or academic-related facilities
Facility Use Statutory Authority: RS 17:3351.19 - used to construct, acquire, repair, maintain, operate, or improve the facilities and physical infrastructure of the institution
General Used to support general operating expenditures authorized by the Grad Act
Operational Statutory Authority: RS 17:3351(A)(5)(d)(i) - used for the enhancement of any instructional programs and may not be used to pay the salary of any university or university system administrator
Technology Statutory Authority: RS 17:3351.1 - used in accordance with a written plan developed by the institution for purposes of implementing, replacing, improving, and expanding technologies to benefit student life and learning

Energy Surcharge Used to offset energy costs
Enrollment Services Used to defray costs of registration, providing transcriptions, graduation costs, ID cards, degree audits, and other electronic/computerized enhancements to improve services to students
Institutional Evaluation University of Louisiana System Board Rules, Part Two, Chapter IV, Section V (R) - used to maintain and provide students and former students with academic records and support the costs of testing students to meet outcomes assessment criteria of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)
Student Health Services  Used to maintain the operation of Student Health Services, giving all students the opportunity to use the facility without any further charge throughout the year
Student Life Used to defray costs of maintaining and operating the Student Union and for enhancing student life

Athletic Field House Used to pay the bond for the construction, repair, maintenance, and improvement of the Athletic Field House
Athletics Used to foster student attendance and engagement at intercollegiate sportng events by providing activities to promote institutional pride and spirit
Band Used to fund Band travel and uniforms
Campus Development Used to fund projects for beautification, maintenance, and improvement of the campus
Choir Used to fund the Choir program
Cowgirl Kickers Used to fund Cowgirl Kickers travel, scholarships, and expenses
Debate Used to fund Debate Team travel, scholarships, and expenses
Greek Life Used to promote Greek Life programs
Health and Physical Education Facilities Used to provide for additional weight, fitness, and outdoor areas and equipment, and upgrade, maintain and update all equipment and facilities and provide for maintenance and operational costs of all recreational sports facilities
Leadership Used to provide leadership opportunities and development for students
Library Used to assist the library in maintaining and updating materials
Log (Yearbook) Used to fund the production of the campus yearbook, “The Log”
Multicultural Used to fund student-driven multicultural initiatives
Organization Used to fund organizational travel to national conferences, local programming, and community outreach programs
Parking Garage Used to pay the bond for the construction, repair, and maintenance of the parking garage
Poke Press Used to fund the production of the campus E-newspaper, “Poke Press”
Rodeo Used to fund Rodeo Team travel, scholarships, and expenses
Safety Used to enhance services provided by University Police
SGA Senate Project Fund Used to fund Student Government Association-driven projects for students
Spirit Groups Used to fund Cheerleaders travel, supplies, equipment, uniforms, and other expenses
Student Government Association Used to fund the Student Government Association
Student Union Used to fund the renovation, expansion, and maintenance of a student center
Student Union Board (SUB) Used to fund Student Union activities
Theatre Used to fund theatre and performing arts programs
