GEOL 211 - Environmental Geology Laboratory

Sample-, map-, and air photo-based practical exercises-with emphasis on the Gulf Coast-illustrating the importance of geological knowledge and training in predicting, identifying, and mitigating environmental problems such as those relating to earth-quakes, flooding, mass movements, erosion, subsidence, waste disposal, and soil and water pollution.

Prerequisites: GEOL 101 or ENSC 101.
