NURS 608 - Biological Treatments for Psychiatric Disorders

Psychopharmacological and other biological therapies for mental illnesses based on current science and practice standards are detailed with emphasis on optimal outcomes and primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention. The responsibilities and contributions of the advanced practice nurse as expert clinician are emphasized.

Prerequisites: NURS 606, NURS 616, NURS 617, NURS 618.
