General Studies (A.G.S.)

Refer to requirements relating to Writing Enriched courses.

Students who wish to pursue the Associate of General Studies (AGS) must meet the following requirements:

  • Must earn a GPA of 2.0 or better in all courses counted toward the degree.
  • Must earn a GPA of 2.0 or better in all courses in the General Education Requirements (Core).
  • Must earn a GPA of 2.0 or better in all courses used in the concentration area.
  • Must earn a grade of “C” or better in both English 101 and 102.
  • Must complete an international education component chosen with the guidance of the General Studies advisor.
  • Students who choose to pursue minors are permitted to use those courses in the core and as free electives only.
  • No more than 21 hours of any one subject area will be applied toward the degree.
