  • NUFS 601 - Dietetic Internship


    Comprised of supervised practice experiential and didactic components. Designed for students seeking registration eligibility with the Commission on Accreditation of Dietetics Education (CADE) of the American Dietetic Association.

    Notes
    Intern will enroll in this course for two semesters with credit given each semester.

    Prerequisites: Completion of approved didactic program in dietetics. Acceptance into MSU’s Dietetic Internship. Must complete two semesters of NUFS 601 to satisfy requirements for use in the MS degree in HHP with an emphasis in Nutrition and Wellness. Focus of the course is on selected units of study, including an introduction to the roles and scope of advanced practice in adult health nursing; health promotion/disease prevention; disorders of the eye, ear, nose and throat; common communicable diseases; respiratory and cardiovascular disorders; and women’s health.

  • NURS 677 - Advanced Practice Nursing: Adult Health II


    Designed to provide students (CNS and NP) with content to develop entry-level competencies for adult health practitioners including care of adolescents and young, middle, and older adults. Focus of the course is on selected units of study including genitourinary, gastrointestinal, neurological, musculoskeletal, hematological, endocrine, integument, and psychological disorders.

    Notes
    Clinical Nurse Specialists will be required to complete 9.3 hours of clinical per week. Nurse Practitioner students will be required to complete 12 hours of clinical per week.
