Requirements
A graduate certificate in Educational Diagnostician is available to students who apply and complete the following courses. No prerequites are needed other than a baccalaureate degree.
*Students with secondary certification must have nine (9) hours in reading, six (6) of which must be in diagnosis and correction of reading problems. - EDUC 631 - Reading Assessment, Diagnosis and Intervention (Lec. 3, Cr. 3)
- EDUC 632 - Practicum in Correction of Reading Difficulties (Lec. 1, Lab. 4, Cr. 3)
- PSYC 603 - Principles of Learning and Behavior (Lec. 3, Cr. 3)
- SPED 616 - Educational Diagnosis (Lec. 3, Cr. 3)
- SPED 617 - Precision Assessment and Diagnostic/Prescriptive Strategies (Lec. 3, Cr. 3)
- SPED 619 - Internship-Educational Diagnostician (Lab. 6, Cr. 3)
- SPED 641 - Test Theory (Lec. 3, Cr. 3)
- SPED 573 - Advanced Approaches to Managing Exceptional Students (Lec. 3, Cr. 3)
or - SPED 615 - Methods of Behavior and Classroom Management (Lec. 3, Cr. 3)
- SPED 623 - Advanced Consultation and Collaboration Strategies for Program Planning (Lab. 3, Cr. 3)
or - SPED 518 - Consultation and Collaboration in Program Planning (Lec. 3, Cr. 3)
