Notes
1Concentration in areas of Graphic Design, Ceramics, Drawing, Painting, Photography, and Printmaking shall consist of 18 hours of studio work in selected area. Art students must take courses in at least three areas of art outside their primary area of concentration.
2Three (3) hours must be selected from the approved Writing Enriched courses- see General Education Core Curriculum .
3Approved Electives must include 9 hours from Humanities, 9 hours from Natural Sciences, 6 hours from Social Sciences, and 3 hours from Fine Arts. Humanities: History, literature, religious studies, philosophy, speech communication, foreign language (above intro-level). At least 3 hours must be a sophomore level or above. Social Science: sociology, psychology, government, political science, anthropology, geography, economics. Natural Sciences: Course work must include biological and physical science, of which 6 hours must be in a two-semester sequence. Fine Arts: music, dance, theatre. Secondary Concentration in Art Education, K-12

All Teacher Education Preparation requirements must be satisfied for completion of the secondary concentration in Art Education K-12. See your advisor for proper sequencing of course work. To complete the B.A. in Art with a secondary concentration in Art Education requires successful completion of 122 credit hours listed below. Students graduating with the secondary concentration in Art Education will receive the degree of: B.A. Art/Studio Concentration/Art Education K-12.
